Hélio Braga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Noronha, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Marcos Aragão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Cláudio Vilar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Carlos Noronha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Moisés Álvares fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ninja Warriors's protests and gave Moisés Álvares a yellow card for diving instead. Hélio Braga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacinto Coelho in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hélio Braga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hélio Braga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Soutinho's Cláudio Vilar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Soutinho from getting a goal against them. Alexandre Nunes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cláudio Vilar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 48th minute by Marcos Aragão got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Marcos Aragão made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the game, Alexandre Nunes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Cláudio Vilar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Carlos Noronha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Marcos Aragão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ninja Warriors's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcos Aragão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cláudio Vilar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carlos Noronha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hélio Braga having to interfere. After 77 played minutes Ninja Warriors got a freekick which was hit by Moisés Álvares. If Marcos Aragão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute, Soutinho's Jacinto Coelho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hélio Braga. Hélio Braga yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Alexandre Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Vilar having to interfere. The supporters of Ninja Warriors booed when Soutinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Lage didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Soutinho players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ninja Warriors.
