An unexpectedly hard shot by Bowen McCollion in the 13th minute of play forced SC Ucha's goalkeeper Amado Esparteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mato's Basílio Moutinho got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Bowen McCollion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th match minute, SC Ucha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvestre Lisboa to maneuver through the defense. Bowen McCollion struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Amado Esparteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mato. After some careless play in the SC Ucha defense, Basílio Moutinho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amado Esparteiro. The SC Ucha fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amado Esparteiro should have stopped the shot. 25 minutes into the match, Plácido Lessa notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Mato's Alexandre Guerreiro. Alexandre Guerreiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Basílio Moutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mato's supporters rose to their feet, but Basílio Moutinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amado Esparteiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 35 minutes, Aurelian Nichitelea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mato's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelian Nichitelea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amado Esparteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basílio Moutinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Ucha's Gusmão Nóbrega slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alexandre Guerreiro. That made the score 2-1 after 42 minutes of play. Mato's defense didn't have a chance, in the 46th minute, when Moisés Travassos scored to the left of an out of position Alexandre Guerreiro, making the score, 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Moisés Travassos to strike the kick off in the second half. Amado Esparteiro came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Mato's Bowen McCollion. But to his dismay, Bowen McCollion quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. After some careless play in the Mato defense, Gusmão Nóbrega kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alexandre Guerreiro. The Mato fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alexandre Guerreiro should have stopped the shot. Bowen McCollion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexandre Guerreiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moisés Travassos in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bowen McCollion in the 72nd minute of play forced SC Ucha's goalkeeper Amado Esparteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Basílio Moutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Amado Esparteiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Basílio Moutinho's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. After a rather tough play, SC Ucha's Gusmão Nóbrega got a free kick in the 77th minute. After having played for 78 minutes, Basílio Moutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mato's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basílio Moutinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, SC Ucha's Plácido Lessa got a free kick in the 81st minute. Bowen McCollion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Basílio Moutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Ucha's Amado Esparteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bowen McCollion in the 88th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bowen McCollion got free with Amado Esparteiro in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aurelian Nichitelea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Ucha's Amado Esparteiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save SC Ucha from getting a goal against them. Alexandre Guerreiro came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Ucha's Plácido Lessa. But to his dismay, Plácido Lessa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. Many of Mato's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Mato may have spent more time on the ball, but SC Ucha were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
