After 11 minutes, Rui Estrada mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sameirix and the SC Rinchoa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hermes Regalado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hermenegildo Lousada's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. If Hermenegildo Lousada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Noel Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sameirix's supporters rose to their feet, but Noel Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Moreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. André Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui Estrada in the 27th minute of the match. SC Rinchoa's André Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Estrada in the 31st minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, Jordão Assunção was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Rinchoa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sameirix the free kick. 33 minutes into the match, Sameirix's Plácido Sanches broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Olavo Sequeira during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Olavo Sequeira kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 39th minute Noel Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafael Albuquerque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermes Regalado having to interfere. André Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui Estrada in the 45th minute of the match. Sameirix's Noel Mendonça got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hermenegildo Lousada made a kick off. Hermes Regalado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermenegildo Lousada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. André Moreira didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 58th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. With his leg André Moreira managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when Sameirix's Rui Estrada fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 75 minutes into the game, Hermenegildo Lousada cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Hermes Regalado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rui Estrada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the match, Rui Estrada dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of André Moreira, 2-2. After 95 played minutes SC Rinchoa got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Godinho. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
