Aldo Pinhal came out of the goal and Óscar Valverde tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aldo Pinhal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Óscar Valverde, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aldo Pinhal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Óscar Valverde in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Warriors FC's Dimas Barroso got a free kick in the 25th minute. Adriano Leão made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Gregório Valadão sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Warriors FC's zone, Gregório Valadão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adriano Leão came out of the goal and Gregório Valadão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aprígio Laureano took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adriano Leão. Adriano Leão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Aldo Pinhal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of António Trigueiro's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Aldo Pinhal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Trigueiro in the 39th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Óscar Valverde in the 43rd minute of play forced SC Taipadas's goalkeeper Aldo Pinhal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th match minute, Warriors FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Trigueiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 49th minute Dimas Barroso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Pinhal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aprígio Laureano was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Warriors FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Josué Lobato hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute António Trigueiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Pinhal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Taipadas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when António Trigueiro scored to the left of an out of position Aldo Pinhal, making the score, 1-2. Dimas Barroso kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Adriano Leão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aprígio Laureano's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. If António Trigueiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Warriors FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
