Filinto Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur Lima in the 3rd minute of play. Afonso Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Filinto Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filinto Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artur Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 19th minute, Afonso Baptista left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Almoinhas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Vivaldo Souto struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Armindo Cardoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Romainho. In the 28th minute David Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Cardoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to SC Almoinhas getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Daniel Henriques hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valério Rangel in the 33rd minute of play forced SC Almoinhas's goalkeeper Armindo Cardoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the game, Artur Lima cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and David Carvalho made a kick off. Afonso Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. SC Almoinhas's Armindo Cardoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vivaldo Souto in the 72nd minute of play. Afonso Baptista was extremely unlucky when he, in the 77th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Vivaldo Souto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th match minute, SC Almoinhas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeu Lisboa to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Artur Lima got free with Filinto Vieira in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vivaldo Souto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Armindo Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The SC Almoinhas players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
