After 5 played minutes Cume got a freekick which was hit by Aquilino Álvares. 12 minutes into the game, Cume's Emanuel Almeida nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tiago Viegas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Tiago Viegas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Brochado in the 16th minute of play. If Emanuel Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fontanelas FC's Tiago Viegas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Noronha in the 20th minute of play. Augusto Noronha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Viegas having to interfere. In the 26thth minute of the game Emanuel Almeida who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fontanelas FC's Tiago Viegas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Eusébio Sacramento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the game, Isac Neves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cume's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fontanelas FC the free kick. Isac Neves hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After 32 played minutes, Fontanelas FC's Timóteo Sacadura shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Herberto Ramires came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fontanelas FC reached it. Fabiano Gama struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Herberto Ramires didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fontanelas FC. Eusébio Sacramento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herberto Ramires having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cume's zone, Fabiano Gama stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Herberto Ramires came out of the goal and Fabiano Gama tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Fontanelas FC booed when Cume was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Carvalhais didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano Gama in the 43rd minute of play forced Cume's goalkeeper Herberto Ramires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emanuel Almeida was the one to do the kick off. Fabiano Gama took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Herberto Ramires. Herberto Ramires dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Eusébio Sacramento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herberto Ramires having to interfere. Fabiano Gama blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Herberto Ramires having to make a save. 76 minutes into the match, Cume's goal looked a bit too open when Fabiano Gama came free, but Herberto Ramires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Herberto Ramires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Sacramento, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Fontanelas FC's Fabiano Gama got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabiano Gama struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Herberto Ramires didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fontanelas FC. Eusébio Sacramento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Herberto Ramires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Altino Horta hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute Fabiano Gama shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herberto Ramires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
