Ronaldo Teves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Rodrigo Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maroufenha FC's André Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antero Maciel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute Ronaldo Teves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nuno Aleixo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antero Maciel having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nuno Aleixo in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antero Maciel saved World X FC from getting behind. When World X FC's Silvano Figueiredo in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Carvalho in the 37th minute of play forced World X FC's goalkeeper Antero Maciel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antero Maciel came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Maroufenha FC's Vicente Mendes. But to his dismay, Vicente Mendes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. André Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antero Maciel having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell André Carvalho to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes World X FC got a freekick which was hit by Henrique Fernandes. 55 minutes into the match, World X FC's goalkeeper Antero Maciel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nuno Aleixo. Nuno Aleixo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Antero Maciel made a huge save. Silvério Mourato kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. With a little luck, World X FC's Antero Maciel got control of the ball when Nuno Aleixo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 59 played minutes World X FC got a freekick which was hit by Silvério Mourato. Henrique Fernandes kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. André Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nuno Aleixo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nuno Aleixo might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antero Maciel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nuno Aleixo ran back to his position shaking his head. André Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute of the match, André Carvalho tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Antero Maciel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the final whistle sounded Maroufenha FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than World X FC.
