Joel Fidalgo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Albérico Raminhos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. José Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonardo Colaço hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Moisés Ferraz put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Vicente Caiado. Quintino Bettencourt's late challenge caught a MATRAQUILHOS DE PORTUGAL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Quintino Bettencourt helped the player get up and apologised. Quintino Bettencourt hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. If Moisés Ferraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moisés Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Caiado having to interfere. If Celso Liberato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vicente Caiado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moisés Ferraz in the 36th minute of the match. MATRAQUILHOS DE PORTUGAL's Vicente Caiado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moisés Ferraz in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Moisés Ferraz was the one to do the kick off. Quintino Bettencourt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vicente Caiado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Vicente Caiado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moisés Ferraz in the 56th minute of the match. A collision led to Lobos da Serra getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Celso Liberato hit a great ball. Moisés Ferraz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Vicente Caiado acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 68th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Joel Bandeira. Lobos da Serra's Quintino Bettencourt got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Moisés Ferraz took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Vicente Caiado to make any attempt to save it. In the 77th minute, Moisés Ferraz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Moisés Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Caiado having to interfere. Vicente Caiado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moisés Ferraz, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Quintino Bettencourt struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Vicente Caiado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lobos da Serra. Vicente Caiado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Moisés Ferraz's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. In the 85th minute of the match André Espinosa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vicente Caiado showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Vicente Caiado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moisés Ferraz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute, Lobos da Serra's Quintino Bettencourt dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. Lobos da Serra's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
