Spectators: 6667 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jaime Luz got the match started through his kick off. SC Nordeste's Vicente Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarbas Moutinho in the 5th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Padroso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Luz came free, but Reginaldo Póvoas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Padroso FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Hélder Calçada hit a great ball. Jarbas Moutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Reginaldo Póvoas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Vale in the 14th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Carlos Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Nordeste's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Vale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reginaldo Póvoas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jarbas Moutinho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vicente Abreu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Vicente Abreu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicolas Coelho in the 26th minute. Reginaldo Póvoas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Vale in the 30th minute of the match. If Jaime Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Reginaldo Póvoas came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Nordeste's Jaime Luz. But to his dismay, Jaime Luz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Jaime Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernando Quintela kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Luz in the 45th minute of play forced Padroso FC's goalkeeper Reginaldo Póvoas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reginaldo Póvoas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Vale in the 46th minute of play. In the 48th minute Jaime Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reginaldo Póvoas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half SC Nordeste were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jarbas Moutinho was the one to do the kick off. Gervásio Caeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After 55 played minutes Jaime Luz rounded Padroso FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. Fernando Quintela hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Carlos Vale might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reginaldo Póvoas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlos Vale ran back to his position shaking his head. Carlos Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Reginaldo Póvoas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reginaldo Póvoas having to interfere. If Jaime Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexandre Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Nicolas Coelho hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. SC Nordeste's António Martins was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Reginaldo Póvoas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 95 minutes into the match, Padroso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Luz came free, but Reginaldo Póvoas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Padroso FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SC Nordeste were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
