The player immediately received a yellow card. Alberto Domingues hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Américo Pereira in the 9th minute of play forced Estevais's goalkeeper Alberto Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafael Gueifão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Anjos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberto Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Américo Pereira in the 19th minute of play. When Alberto Domingues was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 19 minutes had been played. 22 minutes into the match, Estevais's goal looked a bit too open when Américo Pereira came free, but Alberto Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the game, Dimos Volakis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Estevais's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clube Futebol Fão the free kick. In the 22nd match minute, Estevais was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dimos Volakis to maneuver through the defense. After 24 played minutes, Clube Futebol Fão's Vítor Cunha shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alberto Rocha came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Clube Futebol Fão reached it. A collision led to Clube Futebol Fão getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Amadeu Cunha hit a great ball. Rafael Gueifão came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Estevais's Oskar Sörman. But to his dismay, Oskar Sörman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Amadeu Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Rocha having to interfere. When Eduardo Anjos came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Estevais fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo Anjos couldn't finish the play. In the 42nd minute, Eduardo Anjos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Eduardo Anjos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Américo Pereira made a kick off. After 54 played minutes, Clube Futebol Fão's Daniel Faro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alberto Rocha came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Clube Futebol Fão reached it. After 55 minutes, Sérgio Santos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Estevais and the Clube Futebol Fão players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Estevais's Sérgio Santos got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute of the match Daniel Faro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alberto Rocha skillfully saved the ball. If Dimos Volakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sérgio Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
