Spectators: 7049 (Terracing: 5250, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 140) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Manuel Macedo took the kick off in the first half of the match. António Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Macedo in the 4th minute of play. Sporting.C.P's António Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Macedo in the 5th minute of play. GuCa FC's Paulo Cabral got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulo Cabral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but António Andrade read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, António Andrade successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 28 minutes of play, GuCa FC's Manuel Macedo made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. António Andrade was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Manuel Macedo in the 31st play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or António Andrade kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 4-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sandro Tavares in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg António Andrade saved Sporting.C.P from getting behind. Armando Júdice fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 40th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo Cabral got free with António Andrade in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandro Tavares in the 45th minute of play forced Sporting.C.P's goalkeeper António Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vítor Queiroga was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Sporting.C.P's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Macedo came free, but António Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When GuCa FC's Paulo Cabral in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sporting.C.P's goalie prevented a goal. In the 58th minute Paulo Cabral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 67 minutes, Paulo Cabral made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Sporting.C.P's António Andrade tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sandro Tavares kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Armando Júdice received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vasco Gaspar came out and tried to block the shot, but Armando Júdice slotted it home off the left post making it 6-1 in the 73rd minute. Manuel Macedo took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised António Andrade. António Andrade dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1. After 83rd play minutes Manuel Macedo shot 8-1, a short shot which went by António Andrade and just under the crossbar into goal. Manuel Macedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. António Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute Manuel Macedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
