Spectators: 6645 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1645, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Miguel Amaro got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Maragota's Armindo Nogueira got a free kick in the 10th minute. Bernardo Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abílio Tomé, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the match, Maragota's goalkeeper Bernardo Lima had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leal Vidigal. In the 19th minute, Armindo Nogueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 23 minutes, Leal Vidigal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pepim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leal Vidigal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teodoro Fragoso hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the match, Pepim's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Fonseca came free, but Simão Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Pepim's goalkeeper Simão Castro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee ignored Maragota's protests and gave Fernando Tavares a yellow card for diving instead. Fernando Tavares kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abílio Tomé was the one to do the kick off. Miguel Amaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Simão Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Fernando Tavares was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 57 minutes had been played. In the 59th minute there was a penalty for Pepim. Celso Paredes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bernardo Lima. 1-0. When Jaime Faria came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Maragota fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Faria couldn't finish the play. Maragota's Bernardo Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abílio Tomé in the 70th minute of play. Abílio Tomé's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernardo Lima read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. In the 74th match minute, Maragota was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Aguiar to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Pepim getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Teodoro Fragoso hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Jaime Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maragota's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Faria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simão Castro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albérico Anjos during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Pepim getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Albérico Anjos hit a great ball. Maragota's Jaime Faria got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Maragota players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Pepim.
