Eduardo Vasconcelos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Alexandre Delgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laurentino Brochado hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Elias Boaventura kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. When Cristiano Cunha fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Sebastião Coimbra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elias Boaventura, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Elias Boaventura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastião Coimbra having to interfere. With a little luck, Bolhas's Sebastião Coimbra got control of the ball when Jesualdo Aragão tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elias Boaventura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the match, Delfim Miranda notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Marzagao FC's Eduardo Vasconcelos. Eduardo Vasconcelos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Marzagao FC's zone, Delfim Miranda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eduardo Vasconcelos came out of the goal and Delfim Miranda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Bolhas booed when Marzagao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubim Cesário didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delfim Miranda in the 47th minute of play forced Marzagao FC's goalkeeper Eduardo Vasconcelos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alexandre Delgado to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Alexandre Delgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Vasconcelos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jesualdo Aragão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A beautiful save bye Bolhas's goalie prevented a goal. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 66th minute, but Eduardo Vasconcelos got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Marzagao FC hanging dry this time. Eduardo Vasconcelos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Delfim Miranda in the 68th minute. Delfim Miranda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Eduardo Vasconcelos made a huge save. Alexandre Delgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Vasconcelos having to interfere. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Marzagao FC's goalkeeper Eduardo Vasconcelos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eduardo Vasconcelos came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Bolhas's Delfim Miranda. But to his dismay, Delfim Miranda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Eduardo Vasconcelos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rui Correia showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 92 minute of play. The supporters of Marzagao FC booed when Bolhas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rui Correia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marzagao FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nicolau Flores in the 98th minute. Nicolau Flores made a great header on Marzagao FC's corner, it was just that Bolhas's Sebastião Coimbra managed to reach the ball for a save. The Bolhas supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bolhas would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
