Rúben Bragança's late challenge caught a Figueiró City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rúben Bragança helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Meridaos getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Rúben Bragança hit a great ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ilídio Delgado to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, Tiago Veiga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Figueiró City and the Meridaos players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 54 played minutes Figueiró City got a freekick which was hit by Tiago Veiga. In the 57th minute, Joaquim Viana reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Homero Ramos. The goal made the score 0-4. Cristiano Tavares hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute, Cristiano Castro had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Figueiró City made a substitution. Ivan Alströmmer replaced Cristiano Castro. The supporters of Figueiró City booed when Meridaos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position.
