Nuno Paredes had in the 43rdth minute some difficulties stopping Vicente Camargo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Óscar Leal was the one to do the kick off. Vicente Camargo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nuno Paredes.
