Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Coto's Gentil Regueira started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Coto's Idalécio Gouveia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saúl Pedroso in the 14th minute of play. Vasco Silveira spun around in front of the goal 18 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of LA Sports's goal. After a defensive mix-up in LA Sports's zone, Gentil Regueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vítor Bento came out of the goal and Gentil Regueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentim Mendonça in the 23rd minute of play forced LA Sports's goalkeeper Vítor Bento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Coto's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Martinho Toscano in the 25th minute. Vítor Bento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vasco Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vítor Bento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gentil Regueira in the 30th minute of play. In the 39th match minute, LA Sports was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damião Sardinha to maneuver through the defense. After 45 played minutes Coto got a freekick which was hit by Martinho Toscano. If Alípio Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Saúl Pedroso made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amado Novais during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 53rd match minute, LA Sports was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amado Novais to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, LA Sports's Reinaldo Rangel got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 56th minute, Gentil Regueira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vítor Bento. The goal made the score 0-1. Coto's Idalécio Gouveia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saúl Pedroso in the 59th minute of play. Alípio Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Idalécio Gouveia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Idalécio Gouveia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alípio Vale's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Saúl Pedroso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Coto getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Ivo Esteves hit a great ball. Idalécio Gouveia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alípio Vale in the 75th minute of the match. If Vasco Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gentil Regueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Vítor Bento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saúl Pedroso struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Idalécio Gouveia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LA Sports. Vasco Silveira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Vítor Bento made a huge save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Coto eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
