Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Nuno Brito started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Aquilino Póvoas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When José Azevedo fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Quartos's protests and gave José Azevedo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Dream Team FC booed when SC Quartos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the match, SC Quartos's goal looked a bit too open when Gil Vargas came free, but Jorge Bessa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, SC Quartos's goalkeeper Jorge Bessa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jerónimo Raminhos. Aquilino Póvoas struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Jorge Bessa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dream Team FC. Jerónimo Raminhos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Jorge Bessa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Gil Vargas came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Dream Team FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gil Vargas couldn't finish the play. In the 20th match minute, SC Quartos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Maia to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 22 minutes, Jerónimo Raminhos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dream Team FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerónimo Raminhos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 24 minutes into the game, Jerónimo Raminhos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Jorge Bessa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vicente Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorge Bessa made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Jerónimo Raminhos sent off a good shot on target. Gil Vargas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Aquilino Póvoas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute Jorge Coelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vicente Simões showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Morais, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 42nd minute, José Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gil Vargas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dream Team FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by David Frois in the 53rd minute. Aquilino Póvoas made a great header on Dream Team FC's corner, it was just that SC Quartos's Jorge Bessa managed to reach the ball for a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Gil Vargas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dream Team FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gil Vargas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Bessa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jerónimo Raminhos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Bessa having to interfere. The supporters of SC Quartos booed when Dream Team FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Quartos's Fernando Luz shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 71st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Vicente Simões but with some difficulty. If Gil Vargas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gil Vargas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 78 minutes into the game, Gil Vargas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jorge Bessa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 87th minute of the game. One of SC Quartos:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Dream Team FC:s goal. In the 89th minute there was a penalty for Dream Team FC. Gil Vargas stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jorge Bessa. 3-0. Jorge Bessa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gil Vargas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 97th match minute, SC Quartos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Maia to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gil Vargas in the 98th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorge Bessa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Dream Team FC had played much better football throughout.
