Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Winston Premium 100S's Gusmão Sá in the 24th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Hélio Neto was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Paço Futebol Clube through an amazing save. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Paço Futebol Clube's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. David Azevedo was slow to take the kick. During this time Winston Premium 100S's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in André Peralta heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 33 minutes into the game, Paço Futebol Clube's Claudemiro Santana nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Álvaro Ribas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Claudemiro Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paço Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudemiro Santana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Álvaro Ribas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Despite being the better team, Paço Futebol Clube failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
