Cristiano Guterres blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Filipe Dias having to make a save. Celso Damásio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Lameirinhas in the 14th minute of play. Alberto Barcelos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Damásio having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, Lenhadores do Mato was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Álvares to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, Lenhadores do Mato's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after David Lameirinhas fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 31 minutes into the match, Hélder Cruz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Filipe Dias. Ciborro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hélder Cruz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Barcelos got free with Celso Damásio in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Serafim Gouveia took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Filipe Dias. Ciborro's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. João Leme hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Celso Damásio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Lameirinhas, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

A sloppy throw-in by João Leme in the 56th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Lenhadores do Mato's Jacinto Álvares. Filipe Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Assunção in the 59th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Lenhadores do Mato's goal looked a bit too open when David Lameirinhas came free, but Celso Damásio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Lenhadores do Mato's goalkeeper Celso Damásio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 65th minute of the match Ciborro got a corner. Lenhadores do Mato's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ricardo Neiva ran over to the corner to take the kick. The Lenhadores do Mato fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Lenhadores do Mato's Hélder Cruz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Barcelos in the 81st minute of play forced Lenhadores do Mato's goalkeeper Celso Damásio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filipe Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélder Cruz in the 84th minute of the match. In the 86th minute David Lameirinhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Damásio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner ended in Alexandre Neto almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Lenhadores do Mato's Celso Damásio did a great save. After recieving a nice pass, Lenhadores do Mato's Hermano Benevides tried to score from far away in the 90th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Alberto Barcelos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Lenhadores do Mato getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Samuel Cerqueira hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lenhadores do Mato walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
