Rosmaninhal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but João Carvalheira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lisandro Castelo Branco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Golden State Warriors booed when Rosmaninhal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Borba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baltasar Fontoura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Lisandro Castelo Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ilídio Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 26th minute, José Ferraz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lisandro Castelo Branco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renato Lessa, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vivaldo Pimenta in the 37th minute of play forced Rosmaninhal FC's goalkeeper Claudemiro Lamego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Aloísio Barata came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Rosmaninhal FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aloísio Barata couldn't finish the play. When Rubim Junqueira fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rosmaninhal FC's protests and gave Rubim Junqueira a yellow card for diving instead. Rubim Junqueira kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Palmiro Bezerra charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Palmiro Bezerra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Palmiro Bezerra hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After 46 played minutes Golden State Warriors got a freekick which was hit by Nélson Vilas Boas. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Renato Lessa made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Claudemiro Lessa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Golden State Warriors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudemiro Lessa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 57thth minute of the game Aloísio Barata who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Golden State Warriors's Lisandro Castelo Branco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vivaldo Pimenta's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Claudemiro Lamego skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Golden State Warriors getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Ivo Balsemão hit a great ball. Nélson Vilas Boas kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. A hard shot 70 in the game by Vivaldo Pimenta from a close distance when the talented Claudemiro Lamego managed to make a qualified save. Rosmaninhal FC's players were relieved. After 74 minutes, Ilídio Maia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Golden State Warriors and the Rosmaninhal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vivaldo Pimenta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vivaldo Pimenta in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudemiro Lamego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 86 played minutes Rosmaninhal FC got a freekick which was hit by Baltasar Fontoura. Claudemiro Lamego was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ivo Balsemão. Golden State Warriors's Lisandro Castelo Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renato Lessa in the 89th minute of play. Baltasar Fontoura scored 1-1 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lisandro Castelo Branco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
