Teodoro Magalhães was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Belchior Oliveira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Belchior Oliveira really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Teodoro Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alcino Alvarenga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Plácido Campelo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Auto Esticões fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After a rather tough play, Santo António Nordestinho's Samuel Maia got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute of the match Augusto Calheiros sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rúben Carvalheira skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Auto Esticões's Norberto Conde got a free kick in the 29th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorge Gama in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rúben Carvalheira saved Santo António Nordestinho from getting behind. When Auto Esticões's Jorge Gama in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Santo António Nordestinho's goalie prevented a goal. In the 35thth minute of the game Plácido Campelo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santo António Nordestinho's Rúben Carvalheira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jorge Gama recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Santo António Nordestinho's goal looked a bit too open when Plácido Campelo came free, but Rúben Carvalheira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alcino Alvarenga in the 40thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Teodoro Magalhães, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 42 played minutes Santo António Nordestinho got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Maia. In the 43rd minute of the match Augusto Calheiros sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rúben Carvalheira skillfully saved the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Alcino Alvarenga made the kick off in the second half. Teodoro Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerónimo Nogueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes into the match, Paulo Lustosa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Teodoro Magalhães. Auto Esticões's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulo Lustosa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 62nd match minute, Santo António Nordestinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adão Albuquerque to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Santo António Nordestinho's zone, Jorge Gama stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rúben Carvalheira came out of the goal and Jorge Gama tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Auto Esticões getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Angélico Barroso hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Gama in the 70th minute of play forced Santo António Nordestinho's goalkeeper Rúben Carvalheira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teodoro Magalhães didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alcino Alvarenga went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Manuel Calçada scored 5-1 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teodoro Magalhães, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Belchior Oliveira took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Teodoro Magalhães. Teodoro Magalhães dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. In the 85th minute, Samuel Maia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute Jorge Gama shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rúben Carvalheira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Alcino Alvarenga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Santo António Nordestinho fully deserved thier win.
