Luís Tavares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Salgueiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Jordão Lencastre managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C Diful United's supporters rose to their feet, but Jordão Lencastre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Éder Matos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, SC Mouguelas's Éder Matos got control of the ball when Hugo Bentes tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 22 minutes, Isidoro Caldas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Mouguelas and the F.C Diful United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 23rd match minute, SC Mouguelas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isidoro Caldas to maneuver through the defense. Isidoro Caldas kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Isidoro Caldas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Salgueiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Luís Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of F.C Diful United booed when SC Mouguelas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torcato Aragão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luís Tavares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isidoro Caldas went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 41st minute, Moisés Peralta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Mouguelas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Salgueiro to make the kick off. Jordão Lencastre recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Isidoro Caldas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luís Tavares. That made the score 0-4 in the 57 minute of play. In the 60th minute of the match, Isidoro Caldas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Luís Tavares was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Caldas in the 63rd minute of play forced F.C Diful United's goalkeeper Luís Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SC Mouguelas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by David Lamego in the 65th minute. A nice corner shot did that David Lamego got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Luís Tavares quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The crowd rose to their feet as Isidoro Caldas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luís Tavares. That made the score 0-5 in the 72 minute of play. F.C Diful United's Luís Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Salgueiro in the 78th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Isidoro Caldas could shoot a difficult shot in the 80th minute, which Luís Tavares however easily saved by the left post. F.C Diful United's Luís Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Salgueiro in the 81st minute of play. Luís Tavares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isidoro Caldas in the 85th minute. Isidoro Caldas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Tavares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. In the 90th minute Carlos Salgueiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Isidoro Caldas notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of F.C Diful United's Luís Tavares. Luís Tavares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle sounded SC Mouguelas left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than F.C Diful United.
