Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Alcino Alvarenga made the kick off which started today's match. Adão Albuquerque hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 4th minute Aldo Lameirinhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rúben Carvalheira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alcino Alvarenga in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lúcio Balsemão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 13th minute Jacob Regalado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rúben Carvalheira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 14 minutes, Rubim Taborda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santo António Nordestinho and the Cartaxo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Santo António Nordestinho's Rubim Taborda got a free kick in the 14th minute. After 19 played minutes Cartaxo got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Palmeira. After recieving a nice pass, Santo António Nordestinho's Alcino Alvarenga tried to score from far away in the 19th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Manuel Calçada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Lúcio Balsemão made a huge save. Lúcio Balsemão didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alcino Alvarenga went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alcino Alvarenga in the 25th minute of play forced Cartaxo's goalkeeper Lúcio Balsemão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute, Jacob Regalado made a precise shot to the right of Rúben Carvalheira. Santo António Nordestinho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Jerónimo Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Balsemão having to interfere. Rúben Carvalheira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacob Regalado, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Francisco Vilaça hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. When Geraldo Igrejas came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Santo António Nordestinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geraldo Igrejas couldn't finish the play. 42 minutes into the match, Santo António Nordestinho's goal looked a bit too open when Jacob Regalado came free, but Rúben Carvalheira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Rubim Taborda dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lúcio Balsemão, 4-1. A collision led to Cartaxo getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Aldo Lameirinhas hit a great ball.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jacob Regalado made a kick off. If Alcino Alvarenga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 52nd minute Alcino Alvarenga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Balsemão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Antero Leite fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cartaxo's protests and gave Antero Leite a yellow card for diving instead. Antero Leite kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Cartaxo's Lúcio Balsemão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubim Taborda in the 56th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Jacob Regalado made a precise shot to the right of Rúben Carvalheira. Santo António Nordestinho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. Alexandre Telinhos hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 5-2 when Alcino Alvarenga sped through Cartaxo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lúcio Balsemão. Flávio Guimarães received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rúben Carvalheira came out and tried to block the shot, but Flávio Guimarães slotted it home off the left post making it 5-3 in the 73rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Calçada in the 78th minute of play forced Cartaxo's goalkeeper Lúcio Balsemão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lúcio Balsemão came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Santo António Nordestinho's Manuel Calçada. But to his dismay, Manuel Calçada quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alcino Alvarenga in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lúcio Balsemão saved Cartaxo from getting behind. 87 minutes into the match, Santo António Nordestinho's goalkeeper Rúben Carvalheira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Flávio Guimarães. Flávio Guimarães could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Rúben Carvalheira made a huge save. Rúben Carvalheira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacob Regalado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santo António Nordestinho were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Cartaxo for a fine match.
