Rosmaninhal FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jorge Gama 12 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aloísio Barata in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teodoro Magalhães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ivo Lobo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudemiro Lamego having to interfere. Angélico Barroso charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Angélico Barroso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 34th match minute, Auto Esticões was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angélico Barroso to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Plácido Campelo got free with Claudemiro Lamego in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 40 minutes into the game, Flávio Novais was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rosmaninhal FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Auto Esticões the free kick. In the 47th minute, Plácido Campelo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Renato Lessa to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Augusto Calheiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hildeberto Freire hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Plácido Campelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Auto Esticões's Jorge Gama got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Rosmaninhal FC's zone, Plácido Campelo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudemiro Lamego came out of the goal and Plácido Campelo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 75 minutes into the match, Rosmaninhal FC's Renato Lessa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teodoro Magalhães narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Auto Esticões's Plácido Campelo in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
