Horácio Lages's late challenge caught a Maia AC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Horácio Lages helped the player get up and apologised. Horácio Lages hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. 5 minutes into the game, Rafael Luz lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Virgílio Azenha. A collision led to Reveles FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Hermano Almeida hit a great ball. Sabino Padilha got a throw-in 19 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Hermano Almeida. Jorge Salazar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Virgílio Azenha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Salazar in the 24th minute of play. When José Quirino came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Reveles FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Quirino couldn't finish the play. Jorge Salazar kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Pedro Macena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermano Almeida in the 30th minute of the match. Rafael Luz might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Virgílio Azenha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rafael Luz ran back to his position shaking his head. Virgílio Azenha was a little too slow when Rafael Luz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 2-0. After having played for 39 minutes, Rafael Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maia AC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafael Luz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Noel Liberato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Reveles FC's zone, Raul Trigueiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virgílio Azenha came out of the goal and Raul Trigueiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The wind increased when Horácio Lages made the kick off in the second half. Virgílio Azenha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Noel Liberato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Virgílio Azenha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 68 minutes, Diogo Vargas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maia AC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diogo Vargas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Hermano Almeida reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pedro Macena. The goal made the score 3-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, António Sobral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maia AC's supporters rose to their feet, but António Sobral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Virgílio Azenha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hermano Almeida in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pedro Macena, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Pedro Macena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horácio Lages, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Higino Baptista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee ended the match the Maia AC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
