Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rafael Luz kicked off to start the match. Inácio Lessa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Pedro Macena made a huge save. The supporters of SC Freches booed when Maia AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Sobral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Quintela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Luz in the 11th minute of the match. Maia AC were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after SC Freches's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rafael Luz took the corner. Inácio Lessa hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After 28 minutes, Moisés Valério mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Freches and the Maia AC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Freches's Moisés Valério got a free kick in the 28th minute. Rafael Luz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in SC Freches's zone, Higino Baptista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Quintela came out of the goal and Higino Baptista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 37 minutes of play, Maia AC's Rafael Luz made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Francisco Quintela was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 40th match minute, SC Freches was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inácio Lessa to maneuver through the defense. Jorge Salazar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rafael Luz scored 0-3 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Francisco Quintela, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Francisco Quintela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diogo Vargas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Francisco Quintela was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Higino Baptista showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 51 minute of play. SC Freches's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Raul Trigueiro 54 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-5. Francisco Quintela came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Maia AC's Noel Liberato. But to his dismay, Noel Liberato quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Matias Rego hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomé Rijo in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Macena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Maia AC's Pedro Carvalheira got a free kick in the 71st minute. After some careless play in the SC Freches defense, Rafael Luz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francisco Quintela. The SC Freches fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francisco Quintela should have stopped the shot. Francisco Quintela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Higino Baptista, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Noel Liberato got free with Francisco Quintela in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 91st minute, Higino Baptista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 92ndth minute of the game Rafael Luz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Freches's Francisco Quintela was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Francisco Quintela made an important save on a dangerous shot by Noel Liberato in the 94th minute. Diogo Vargas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Francisco Quintela made a huge save. The SC Freches fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Maia AC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
