The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hélder Zarco during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hélder Zarco kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Caio Caldas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Raul Carvalhais was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 17 minutes had been played. Raul Carvalhais kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. When Vicente Granja came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the €uros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Granja couldn't finish the play. Canario FC's Caio Caldas got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Plácido Corte-Real made an important save on a dangerous shot by Caio Caldas in the 25th minute. Plácido Corte-Real was a little too slow when Caio Caldas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 2-0. Plácido Corte-Real came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Canario FC's Caio Caldas. But to his dismay, Caio Caldas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. If Jorge Rego had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 36 minutes into the match, Caio Caldas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Plácido Corte-Real. €uros's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Caio Caldas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. If Caio Caldas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Donato Ribas made the kick off in the second half. Canario FC's Flávio Lessa got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Plácido Corte-Real showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caio Caldas, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Caio Caldas took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Plácido Corte-Real. Plácido Corte-Real dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Caio Caldas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Plácido Corte-Real having to interfere. Plácido Corte-Real showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Rego in the 72nd minute of the match. If Caio Caldas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th match minute, €uros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noel Quintas to maneuver through the defense. 77 minutes into the game, Gil Carrasqueira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. €uros's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Canario FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, €uros's Gil Carrasqueira got a free kick in the 77th minute. Plácido Corte-Real showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caio Caldas, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After a defensive mix-up in €uros's zone, Jorge Rego stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Plácido Corte-Real came out of the goal and Jorge Rego tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Plácido Corte-Real took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caio Caldas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorge Rego sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernando Corte-Real hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. If Caio Caldas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95thth minute of the game Ademar Paião who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but €uros's Plácido Corte-Real was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When €uros's Donato Ribas in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Canario FC's goalie prevented a goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Canario FC had played much better football throughout.
