But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caio Pinhal couldn't finish the play. SC Moliana's Amável Diegues got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristiano Leite stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amável Diegues's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amável Diegues in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristiano Leite prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristiano Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilson Alves in the 41st minute of play. When Aprígio Pádua fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oporto's protests and gave Aprígio Pádua a yellow card for diving instead. Aprígio Pádua hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Amável Diegues managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Moliana's supporters rose to their feet, but Amável Diegues was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristiano Leite breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wilson Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Cristiano Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amável Diegues made a kick off. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Oporto's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nivaldo Balsemão was slow to take the kick. During this time SC Moliana's players had a chance to rest. Cristiano Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Lobo, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Nicolau Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caio Pinhal in the 56th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Oporto's zone, Wilson Alves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristiano Leite came out of the goal and Wilson Alves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oporto's Cristiano Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amável Diegues in the 78th minute of play. With a little luck, Oporto's Cristiano Leite got control of the ball when Wilson Alves tried to sneak it across the goal line. Telmo Fidalgo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolau Borges having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Wilson Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Moliana's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilson Alves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristiano Leite breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Amável Diegues's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristiano Leite was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Amável Diegues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Leite having to interfere. If Wilson Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristiano Leite was out of position in the 97 minute of play, and Amável Diegues capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Amável Diegues really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
