Virgílio Viana started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Leões de Vila de Rei getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Bruno Bombardeiro hit a great ball. In the 6th match minute, ATI QB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geraldo Eanes to maneuver through the defense. 7 minutes into the match, ATI QB's goalkeeper Cristóvão Palha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sever Chiliman. Tiago Damásio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgílio Viana, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 17thth minute of the game Geraldo Eanes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leões de Vila de Rei's Tiago Damásio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Patrício Cabral hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Leões de Vila de Rei's Tiago Damásio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgílio Viana in the 25th minute of play. Tiago Damásio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geraldo Eanes, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Sever Chiliman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristóvão Palha having to interfere. Cristóvão Palha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sever Chiliman in the 36th minute. Torcato Conde's late challenge caught a Leões de Vila de Rei's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Torcato Conde helped the player get up and apologised. After 40 played minutes ATI QB got a freekick which was hit by Torcato Conde. 41 minutes into the match, Leões de Vila de Rei's Diamantino Tomé sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristóvão Palha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Diamantino Tomé scored 1-0 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristóvão Palha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Virgílio Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leões de Vila de Rei's Tiago Damásio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geraldo Eanes in the 46th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Sever Chiliman made the kick off in the second half. Cristóvão Palha came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Leões de Vila de Rei's George Best. But to his dismay, George Best quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Tiago Damásio came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by ATI QB's Geraldo Eanes. But to his dismay, Geraldo Eanes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Bruno Bombardeiro struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Cristóvão Palha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leões de Vila de Rei. 65 minutes into the match, Edgar Cunha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristóvão Palha. ATI QB's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgar Cunha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. 70 minutes into the match, ATI QB's goal looked a bit too open when Sever Chiliman came free, but Cristóvão Palha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geraldo Eanes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 76 minutes into the game, Geraldo Eanes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Tiago Damásio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tiago Damásio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrício Cabral in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Virgílio Viana reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tiago Damásio. The goal made the score 3-3. Leões de Vila de Rei's Tiago Damásio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Leões de Vila de Rei from getting a goal against them. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Leões de Vila de Rei's goalkeeper Tiago Damásio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
