In the 4th match minute, Valboense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedito Ferro to maneuver through the defense. Diogo Modesto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Porfírio Vigário made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gil Mangueira in the 15th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomé Trigueiro during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tomé Trigueiro hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. If Diogo Modesto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. André Vilaverde kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Baltasar Ávila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Porfírio Vigário having to interfere. If Gil Mangueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mini àguias's Diogo Modesto got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Valboense FC's Adolfo Tomé got control of the ball when Encho Saco tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diogo Modesto made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Hermes Aleixo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adolfo Tomé. Valboense FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hermes Aleixo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benedito Ferro got free with Porfírio Vigário in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Diogo Modesto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gil Mangueira during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Diogo Modesto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Mini àguias booed when Valboense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tarcísio Prates didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 90 played minutes Mini àguias got a freekick which was hit by Alex Merlim. Encho Saco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Tomé having to interfere. If Diogo Modesto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mini àguias fully deserved thier win.
