After a defensive mix-up in SC Telhal's zone, Lourenço Sobral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gonçalo Vale came out of the goal and Lourenço Sobral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Nuno Viana fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bertioga City's protests and gave Nuno Viana a yellow card for diving instead. Nuno Viana kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the game, Bertioga City's Lourenço Sobral nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gonçalo Vale made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Nuno Viana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Gonçalo Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bertioga City's goalkeeper Anselmo Póvoas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 31st minute Lourenço Sobral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonçalo Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gonçalo Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lourenço Sobral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gonçalo Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Viana in the 43rd minute of the match. Lourenço Sobral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Gonçalo Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gonçalo Vale came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Bertioga City's Nuno Viana. But to his dismay, Nuno Viana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lourenço Sobral to make the kick off. Gonçalo Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lourenço Sobral in the 52nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by André Abreu during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Telhal's André Abreu got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Lourenço Sobral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nuno Viana got free with Gonçalo Vale in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 68thth minute of the game Lourenço Sobral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Telhal's Gonçalo Vale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Nuno Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Lourenço Sobral kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gonçalo Vale. That made the score 0-3 in the 74 minute of play. In the 78th minute, Alberto Moniz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Telhal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 81st minute of the match, Nuno Viana got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gonçalo Vale was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ricardo Martins charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ricardo Martins the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gonçalo Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lourenço Sobral in the 83rd minute of the match. Lourenço Sobral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Vale having to interfere. Lourenço Sobral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bertioga City's José Teles couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SC Telhal.
