Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tomé Vargas took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Alexandre Lobato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laurentino Gomes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Lobato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Severino Vilanovas short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Laurentino Gomes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Lobato in the 8th minute of play forced SC Quinta's goalkeeper Laurentino Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th match minute, SC Quinta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amado Vilas Boas to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Severino Vilanova got free with Laurentino Gomes in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 17 minutes into the match, Valadares FC's Severino Vilanova sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Laurentino Gomes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alexandre Lobato recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Laurentino Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Lobato in the 22nd minute of play. In the 30th minute, Alexandre Lobato reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Laurentino Gomes. The goal made the score 1-0. Severino Vilanova sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Laurentino Gomes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alexandre Lobato went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 42nd minute, Aparício Franco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Herberto Coutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexandre Lobato was the one to do the kick off. Herberto Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeferino Póvoas having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SC Quinta's António Sá got a free kick in the 55th minute. Fabrício Coimbra was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 56th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. SC Quinta's Laurentino Gomes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino Vilanova in the 58th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in SC Quinta's zone, Alexandre Lobato stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laurentino Gomes came out of the goal and Alexandre Lobato tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexandre Lobato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurentino Gomes having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Lobato in the 65th minute of play forced SC Quinta's goalkeeper Laurentino Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, SC Quinta's Hipólito lago got a free kick in the 65th minute. Laurentino Gomes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severino Vilanova, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. SC Quinta's Laurentino Gomes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Lobato in the 69th minute of play. If Severino Vilanova had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Vilanova in the 76th minute of play forced SC Quinta's goalkeeper Laurentino Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78thth minute of the game Alexandre Lobato who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Quinta's Laurentino Gomes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 80th minute, Alexandre Lobato ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laurentino Gomes was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After 86 played minutes Valadares FC got a freekick which was hit by Normando Trindade. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomé Vargas in the 88th minute of play forced Valadares FC's goalkeeper Zeferino Póvoas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexandre Lobato's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laurentino Gomes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play.
