The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, António Carvalho had to leave the field with a concussion. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sungur Coşkun during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sungur Coşkun hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Alberto Moniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Egídio Godinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Gonçalo Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Telhal's Alberto Moniz got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. André Abreu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alberto Moniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Benedykt Sadlowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filinto Calçada's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gonçalo Vale read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. After having played for 39 minutes, Egídio Godinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AmarSul Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Egídio Godinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Moniz in the 41st minute of play forced AmarSul Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Benedykt Sadlowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SC Telhal's Alberto Moniz got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Egídio Godinho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 73 played minutes AmarSul Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Filinto Calçada. Francisco Setúbal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Benedykt Sadlowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 77 minutes, Egídio Godinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AmarSul Futebol Clube and the SC Telhal players grew even worse after the yellow card. Egídio Godinho was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 85th minute. AmarSul Futebol Clube's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. SC Telhal's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
