Durval Couto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Igor Silveira's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Pinhal's Durval Couto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Pinhal from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Pinhal's zone, Roberto Pires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Durval Couto came out of the goal and Roberto Pires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Pinhal getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Vicente Pinhal hit a great ball. Durval Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Silveira in the 22nd minute of play. A collision led to Lords getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Abel Vargas hit a great ball. Pinhal's Durval Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Pires in the 33rd minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, Abel Vargas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lords's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pinhal the free kick. After 35 played minutes Lords got a freekick which was hit by Abel Vargas. In the 40th minute, Zarco Vilar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute of the match Roberto Pires sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Durval Couto skillfully saved the ball. Durval Couto made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Aldaír Fonseca sent off a good shot on target. Romão Amaro kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Roberto Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Durval Couto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Igor Silveira made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Pinhal's zone, Abel Vargas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Durval Couto came out of the goal and Abel Vargas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amado Lamego was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dário Macena showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 57 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romão Amaro got free with Amado Lamego in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Durval Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Almiro Mourão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roberto Pires struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Durval Couto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lords. Horácio Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durval Couto having to interfere. After having played for 67 minutes, Igor Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lords's supporters crossed their fingers, but Igor Silveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pinhal's Durval Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Pires in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Abel Vargas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 74th minute, Igor Silveira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lords fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Durval Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Pires in the 77th minute of play. Amado Lamego came out and tried to block the shot, but Vicente Pinhal slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 85th minute. Lords's Henrique Gentil got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Igor Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Durval Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Silveira in the 92nd minute of play. Pinhal's Romão Amaro got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Although Lords had been in control for most of the match, Pinhal still came away with the win.
