Spectators: 7740 (Terracing: 5806, Seating: 1780, VIP seats: 154) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Miguel Meira kicked off to start the match. The supporters of AKXE MADUREIRA booed when Palaios FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Álvares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miguel Meira in the 6thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eurico Figueiras, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Mariano Esteves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rúben Miranda went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Artur Câmara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eurico Figueiras having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Miguel Meira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eurico Figueiras. Palaios FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miguel Meira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 16th minute, Adalberto Leme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Marcelo Jordão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eurico Figueiras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artur Câmara, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Miguel Meira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Eurico Figueiras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When AKXE MADUREIRA's Miguel Meira in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Palaios FC fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Palaios FC's Adolfo Álvares looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 42nd minute Adolfo Álvares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Palaios FC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Noel Matias to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Palaios FC's Rúben Miranda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mariano Esteves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Mariano Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Álvares in the 59th minute of play. Miguel Meira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eurico Figueiras having to interfere. With a little luck, AKXE MADUREIRA's Mariano Esteves got control of the ball when Rúben Miranda tried to sneak it across the goal line. AKXE MADUREIRA's Miguel Meira got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mariano Esteves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rúben Miranda in the 81st minute. Mariano Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noel Matias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miguel Meira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to AKXE MADUREIRA getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Henrique Fonseca hit a great ball. With a little luck, AKXE MADUREIRA's Mariano Esteves got control of the ball when Rúben Miranda tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Palaios FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
