Albérico Vaz came out of the goal and Francisco Sarmento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Albérico Vaz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Filipe Mendes in the 18th minute. Albérico Vaz came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Benfica's Filipe Mendes. But to his dismay, Filipe Mendes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Filipe Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Albérico Vaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miramar's Angélico Balsemão got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 28 minutes into the game, Miramar's Lázaro Mansilha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manuel Leiria made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After a rather tough play, Miramar's Lucas Madruga got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute Francisco Sarmento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albérico Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manuel Soeiro to make the kick off. Albérico Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Sarmento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miramar's Nivaldo Alcântara got his second yellow card of the match in the 53rd minute. The referee ordered Nivaldo Alcântara off the ground. Miramar's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
