Spectators: 7658 (Terracing: 5745, Seating: 1761, VIP seats: 152) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Carlos Santiago made the kick off which started today's match. Vladimiro Lages came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Ventelharia's Delfim Dantas. But to his dismay, Delfim Dantas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 7th minute, Delfim Dantas made a precise shot to the right of Vladimiro Lages. MTK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After having played for 9 minutes, Nivaldo Rego managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ventelharia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nivaldo Rego was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valentim Graça took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vladimiro Lages. Vladimiro Lages dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 16th minute, Angelo Azevedo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vladimiro Lages was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Nivaldo Rego kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Edgar Caires kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the game, Carlos Santiago was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MTK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ventelharia the free kick. In the 25th minute Valentim Graça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimiro Lages saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vladimiro Lages showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nivaldo Rego in the 28th minute of the match. Angelo Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimiro Lages having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, MTK's goal looked a bit too open when Delfim Dantas came free, but Vladimiro Lages reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the MTK defense, Valentim Graça kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vladimiro Lages. The MTK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vladimiro Lages should have stopped the shot. Vladimiro Lages made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delfim Dantas in the 35th minute of play. Vladimiro Lages didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nivaldo Rego went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. If Bento Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nivaldo Rego in the 43rd minute of play forced MTK's goalkeeper Vladimiro Lages to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vladimiro Lages showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nivaldo Rego, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After 47 minutes of play, Ventelharia's Bento Guerra made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vladimiro Lages was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Ventelharia were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nivaldo Rego to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Valentim Graça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimiro Lages saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. MTK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Bento Guerra scored to the left of an out of position Vladimiro Lages, making the score, 0-8. 59 minutes into the match, MTK's goal looked a bit too open when Bento Guerra came free, but Vladimiro Lages reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Delfim Dantas made a precise shot to the right of Vladimiro Lages. MTK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-9. With a little luck, MTK's Vladimiro Lages got control of the ball when Nivaldo Rego tried to sneak it across the goal line. Delfim Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Vladimiro Lages tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Ventelharia's Nivaldo Rego slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vladimiro Lages. That made the score 0-10 after 75 minutes of play. Vladimiro Lages made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentim Graça in the 85th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgar Caires during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Edgar Caires kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. The throw-in from Hermínio Vidal in the 87th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Ventelharia's Bento Guerra. Vladimiro Lages showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bento Guerra in the 88th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 89 minutes, Vladimiro Lages successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Ventelharia's zone, Hélder Brochado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudemiro Palmeira came out of the goal and Hélder Brochado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 96th match minute, Ventelharia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noel Lucena to maneuver through the defense. The MTK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ventelharia were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
