Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Noel Matias started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in MTK's zone, Noel Matias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vladimiro Lages came out of the goal and Noel Matias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, MTK's Vladimiro Lages got control of the ball when Rúben Miranda tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to MTK getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Hélder Brochado hit a great ball. Rúben Miranda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vladimiro Lages made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adalberto Leme in the 12th minute of play. Vladimiro Lages showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolfo Álvares in the 19th minute of the match. Adalberto Leme could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Vladimiro Lages made a huge save. Carlos Santiago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Eurico Figueiras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute Noel Matias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimiro Lages saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, MTK's Edgar Caires got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 43rd minute of the match Gentil Freire shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vladimiro Lages showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Vladimiro Lages took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noel Matias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the match, Adalberto Leme dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vladimiro Lages, 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Santiago stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vladimiro Lages showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adalberto Leme, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rúben Miranda in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vladimiro Lages prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vladimiro Lages made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rúben Miranda in the 57th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Adalberto Leme ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vladimiro Lages was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After some careless play in the MTK defense, Rúben Miranda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vladimiro Lages. The MTK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vladimiro Lages should have stopped the shot. Vladimiro Lages showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Noel Matias in the 70th minute of the match. Vladimiro Lages showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rúben Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute, Noel Matias made a precise shot to the right of Vladimiro Lages. MTK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0.
