The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Portugal Roots Generation getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Baltasar Bezerra hit a great ball. Manuel Soeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 13th minute, Salvador Mesquita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Albérico Vaz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Baltasar Bezerra hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Albérico Vaz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Salvador Mesquita went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Angélico Balsemão took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Diogo Costa to make any attempt to save it. After 26 minutes, Adriano Cruz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Portugal Roots Generation and the Miramar players grew even worse after the yellow card. Adriano Cruz hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prince Taylor in the 32nd minute of play forced Miramar's goalkeeper Albérico Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nivaldo Alcântara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Diogo Costa made a huge save. Albérico Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prince Taylor in the 34th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Portugal Roots Generation's Salvador Mesquita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Albérico Vaz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Diogo Costa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nivaldo Alcântara showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 45 minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Salvador Mesquita made a kick off. Diogo Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nivaldo Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute.
