During the 46th minute of the match Angélico Abrantes completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Angélico Abrantes a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Hermínio Salgado made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Zeferino Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Israel Campos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, SC Vade's goal looked a bit too open when Zeferino Ferreira came free, but Israel Campos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, SC Vade's Hildeberto Lobato got a free kick in the 60th minute. Israel Campos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeferino Ferreira in the 76th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hermínio Salgado in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Américo Brandão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, SC Braga's Leal Leal got a free kick in the 96th minute. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. SC Vade were victorious despite being under pressure from SC Braga for much of the match.
