In the 14th minute Nuno Barcelos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute Afonso Macedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Macedo in the 18th minute of play forced JUVELEO FC's goalkeeper Rodrigo Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adalberto Varela had several of the Grupo Desportivo do Topo's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 40 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Paolo Oxarra as he didn't even see the shot coming. Vítor Falcão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rodrigo Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nivaldo Laureano, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute Nuno Barcelos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adalberto Varela stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benedito Vital's late challenge caught a JUVELEO FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benedito Vital helped the player get up and apologised. In the 51st match minute, Grupo Desportivo do Topo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedito Vital to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rogério Galvão during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rogério Galvão hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Grupo Desportivo do Topo's Anselmo Galvão got a free kick in the 56th minute. After 59 played minutes Grupo Desportivo do Topo got a freekick which was hit by Benedito Vital. Paolo Oxarra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adalberto Varela in the 60th minute of the match. After 61 played minutes Grupo Desportivo do Topo got a freekick which was hit by Nivaldo Laureano. Paolo Oxarra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adalberto Varela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paolo Oxarra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adalberto Varela's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. If Adalberto Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 67 played minutes Grupo Desportivo do Topo got a freekick which was hit by Maurício Ramalho. Paolo Oxarra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dário Lemos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maurício Ramalho was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 72 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute, one of Grupo Desportivo do Topo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Grupo Desportivo do Topo. In the 75th minute there was a penalty for JUVELEO FC. Ricardo Varanda stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Paolo Oxarra. 4-0. In a very dangerous position, a player in Grupo Desportivo do Topo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! The supporters of Grupo Desportivo do Topo booed when JUVELEO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Varanda didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to JUVELEO FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Olavo Festas hit a great ball. Paolo Oxarra came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by JUVELEO FC's Adalberto Varela. But to his dismay, Adalberto Varela quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Adalberto Varela scored 6-0 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paolo Oxarra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nivaldo Laureano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 100th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. JUVELEO FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Grupo Desportivo do Topo for a fine match.
