Antero Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Perdigão, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Antero Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dário Lemos in the 21st minute of the match. When Hilário Gusmão came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the SC Lourencinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hilário Gusmão couldn't finish the play. Hilário Gusmão kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Dário Lemos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 63 played minutes SC Lourencinha got a freekick which was hit by Lourenço Sousa. Antero Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dário Lemos in the 70th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Dário Lemos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antero Vieira was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. After some careless play in the SC Lourencinha defense, Adalberto Varela kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antero Vieira. The SC Lourencinha fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antero Vieira should have stopped the shot. SC Lourencinha's Hilário Gusmão quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Isidoro Sacramento, made in the 93rd minute of the game.
