The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lúcio Leiria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Pedro Bento made a huge save. Lúcio Leiria in the 11thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pedro Bento, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Lúcio Leiria blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Bento having to make a save. Octávio Veríssimo hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. A collision led to Amora FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Leandro Sesimbra hit a great ball. After 28 minutes of play, Amora FC's Lúcio Leiria made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Bento was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to São MARTINHO FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Leandro Leme hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lúcio Leiria in the 32nd minute of play forced São MARTINHO FC's goalkeeper Pedro Bento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Lúcio Leiria put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Pedro Bento. Lúcio Leiria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martinho Borges recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44th minute, Cristiano Serpa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gois to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Lúcio Leiria's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Bento was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. 56 minutes into the game, São MARTINHO FC's Juvenal Vieira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After a defensive mix-up in São MARTINHO FC's zone, Lúcio Leiria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Bento came out of the goal and Lúcio Leiria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lúcio Leiria scored 5-1 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Bento, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lúcio Leiria in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Bento prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Alexandre Morais fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored São MARTINHO FC's protests and gave Alexandre Morais a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th minute, Alexandre Morais hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amora FC's Durval Carvalhal got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Amora FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
