Melquiades Vachon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gerardo Avellaneda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, C.F.Real Porto's goal looked a bit too open when Melquiades Vachon came free, but Gerardo Avellaneda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Albertino Lamego had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to MAG F.C. getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Silvano Abreu hit a great ball. In the 18th minute Isaac Malvin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerardo Avellaneda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gil Festas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 22nd minute, Danilo Sanches hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Melquiades Vachon managed to get in a good position for a shot. MAG F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Melquiades Vachon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gerardo Avellaneda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 30 played minutes C.F.Real Porto got a freekick which was hit by Horácio Santarém. Albertino Lamego had several of the MAG F.C.'s defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 33 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Rui Vasconcelos as he didn't even see the shot coming. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Lisandro Conde took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Rui Vasconcelos to make any attempt to save it. When Lisandro Conde came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the C.F.Real Porto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lisandro Conde couldn't finish the play. Lisandro Conde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lisandro Conde to strike the kick off in the second half. Rui Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lisandro Conde in the 54th minute of the match. In the 57th match minute, C.F.Real Porto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermano Moniz to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaac Malvin in the 64th minute of play forced C.F.Real Porto's goalkeeper Gerardo Avellaneda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th match minute, MAG F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danilo Sanches to maneuver through the defense. In the 69thth minute of the game Albertino Lamego who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MAG F.C.'s Rui Vasconcelos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lisandro Conde in the 71st minute of play forced MAG F.C.'s goalkeeper Rui Vasconcelos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as MAG F.C.'s Melquiades Vachon slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gerardo Avellaneda. That made the score 2-1 after 76 minutes of play. C.F.Real Porto made a substitution. Gonçalo Lobato replaced Amável Viegas. Melquiades Vachon succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-2 in the 89th playminute. Hermano Moniz kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
