Grupo Desportivo do Topo's Paolo Oxarra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Carneiro in the 9th minute of play. Domingos Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Macedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Devesa FC's Domingos Tavares got control of the ball when Nuno Barcelos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Afonso Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute, Grupo Desportivo do Topo's Anselmo Galvão seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Anselmo Galvão the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Grupo Desportivo do Topo protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Anselmo Galvão had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Grupo Desportivo do Topo! Paolo Oxarra came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Devesa FC's Adolfo Carneiro. But to his dismay, Adolfo Carneiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Nuno Barcelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. A collision led to Devesa FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Basílio Coimbra hit a great ball. Albertino Severo's late challenge caught a Devesa FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albertino Severo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Grupo Desportivo do Topo's Albertino Severo got a free kick in the 82nd minute. When André Leiria came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Devesa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Leiria couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Grupo Desportivo do Topo's zone, Filipe Borba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paolo Oxarra came out of the goal and Filipe Borba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Rebelo during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 88th minute of the game. One of Grupo Desportivo do Topo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Devesa FC:s goal. Nuno Barcelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Devesa FC's Domingos Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Barcelos in the 101st minute of play. Benedito Vital received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 102nd minute. Domingos Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
