In the 24th minute of the match, Nuno Barcelos got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rui Vasconcelos was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Isaac Malvin to make the kick off. In the 60th minute Melquiades Vachon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paolo Oxarra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Isaac Malvin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paolo Oxarra was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. If Nuno Barcelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 91st minute of the match Benedito Vital completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Benedito Vital a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Grupo Desportivo do Topo's Paolo Oxarra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaac Malvin in the 93rd minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Grupo Desportivo do Topo's goal looked a bit too open when Isaac Malvin came free, but Paolo Oxarra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute, Melquiades Vachon made a precise shot to the right of Paolo Oxarra. Grupo Desportivo do Topo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. MAG F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
