Spectators: 6929 (Terracing: 5829, Seating: 1100, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Artur Quintanilha started the match with the kick off. Álvaro Infante was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Gusmão Macena capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gusmão Macena really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Máximo Avelar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damião Quental read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Montreux were furious when Candido Koldobika was red carded, 15 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 14th minute, one of Montreux:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Montreux. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Mascarenhas in the 20th minute of play forced FC Portuense's goalkeeper Álvaro Infante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of FC Portuense booed when Montreux was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurentino Linhares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Artur Quintanilha in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Damião Quental prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 24th minute Máximo Avelar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damião Quental saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31stth minute of the game Artur Quintanilha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montreux's Damião Quental was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 36th minute Artur Quintanilha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damião Quental saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute, Alonzo Txomin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half FC Portuense were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

52 minutes into the match, Montreux's goal looked a bit too open when Máximo Avelar came free, but Damião Quental reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damião Quental made an important save on a dangerous shot by Artur Quintanilha in the 56th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alonzo Txomin during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alonzo Txomin hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Montreux's Damião Quental proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Montreux from getting a goal against them. In the 60th minute of the match, Honorato Lobato got a very nice opportunity to score, but Damião Quental was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Álvaro Infante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gusmão Macena in the 61st minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, FC Portuense's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Mascarenhas came free, but Álvaro Infante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute Máximo Avelar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damião Quental saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes into the game, Artur Quintanilha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Damião Quental was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gusmão Macena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Infante having to interfere. 79 minutes into the game, Artur Quintanilha recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Damião Quental. Artur Quintanilha showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Álvaro Infante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gusmão Macena in the 86th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, FC Portuense's Alexandre Ventura ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Damião Quental. Damião Quental yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. FC Portuense's Álvaro Infante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gusmão Macena in the 94th minute of play.
