Metropolis 1928 CC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-9. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-9 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Lucílio Coutinho made the kick off in the second half. Lucílio Coutinho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. In the 88th minute, ADCR Loreto United FC's Cesário Abrantes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eliseu Franco. Eliseu Franco yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-13. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesário Abrantes in the 91st minute of play forced Metropolis 1928 CC's goalkeeper Eliseu Franco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ADCR Loreto United FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
