Spectators: 7600 (Terracing: 5741, Seating: 1759, VIP seats: 100) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Hermano Garcez made the kick off which started today's match. The throw-in from Gentil Torcato in the 3rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Lombo's Filipe Barroso. Filipe Barroso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Metropolis 1928 CC's Eliseu Franco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Metropolis 1928 CC from getting a goal against them. Gentil Torcato hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Eusébio Amaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidro Guerreiro in the 15th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedro Mesquita during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 17th minute, Pedro Mesquita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Metropolis 1928 CC defense, Hermano Garcez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eliseu Franco. The Metropolis 1928 CC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eliseu Franco should have stopped the shot. Hermano Garcez took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eliseu Franco. Eliseu Franco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. When Hermano Garcez came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Lombo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermano Garcez couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Isidro Guerreiro made the kick off in the second half. Eusébio Amaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidro Guerreiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 55 minutes, Isidro Guerreiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Metropolis 1928 CC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidro Guerreiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Lombo's zone, Isidro Guerreiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eusébio Amaro came out of the goal and Isidro Guerreiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Metropolis 1928 CC's Isidro Guerreiro in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lombo's goalie prevented a goal. Lombo's Eusébio Amaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidro Guerreiro in the 65th minute of play. If Hermano Garcez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 75th minute, Hermano Garcez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Lombo booed when Metropolis 1928 CC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simão Lencastre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nuno Caiado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseu Franco having to interfere. Lombo's Nuno Caiado quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gentil Torcato, made in the 95th minute of the game. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Lombo fully deserved thier win.
