The Atlânticos FC fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Atlânticos FC's Emanuel Veloso looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jesualdo Garcez in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabiano Neiva saved Atlânticos FC from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Emanuel Veloso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacob Tavares was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jesualdo Garcez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emanuel Veloso in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacob Tavares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Hamilton Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlânticos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hamilton Matos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacob Tavares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zacarias Gentil's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabiano Neiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Atlânticos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jesualdo Garcez came free, but Fabiano Neiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
